About Mr Stewart
Training
Mr Stewart graduated in 1990 and completed a 12-year training programme in general and plastic surgery, based mainly in Scotland, with advanced specialist training in Sydney, Toronto and California.
NHS practice
He has been training programme director for plastic surgery in Scotland, clinical director of plastic surgery in Edinburgh and an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. At the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and St John’s Hospital he has carried out complex reconstruction of the face, ear and body. During the Covid pandemic he worked with engineers on bespoke 3D-printed face masks.
